Karen April

Karen, the hospital's manager, has worked in the veterinary field for over twenty years, all of which have been at Norton Animal Hospital. Having received an Associates degree in Arts from the Community College of Rode Island, a certificate in Veterinary Dental Technology, and an award in small animal nutrition, Karen is the hospital manager and Head Veterinary Technician. She also received her CVT - certification in veterinary technology. Karen just completed an intensive management program, the Veterinary Management Institute (VMI). VMI is offered through Purdue University's Executive Education Department in the Krannert School of Management and the American Animal Hospital Association.
Upon completing this intense program, Karen received a certificate in veterinary practice administration in addition to 72 hours of graduate-level management education.

When she is not working at the hospital, Karen and her husband, Dave, travel the world riding roller coasters. They have been on over 500 different coasters in North America and Europe to date!

She also enjoys photography, cooking, collecting movies and music. Her beloved pets are two cats (Mama and Jodie); a Miniature Pinscher named Buddy and a Brussels Griffon mix named Jasper.


Donna

Head Technician

Donna A full time member of the health care team, Donna has been a veterinary technician since 1999, and with Norton Animal Hospital since 2000.Because of her love and compassion for animals and attention to detail, she is also Head Veterinary Technician.

Donna enjoys the companionship of many four-legged friends. Her dogs include Noah, a Golden Retriever and Scoobie, a mini Pinscher. Her cats are Lenny, Rocky and Harvest, and she also owns a horse named General. She has just added to her menagerie of pets a calico kitten that she fostered over the summer - named Zoie.

During her time off Donna enjoys horseback riding, baking, music, reading, going to the beach, cheering for the Red Sox and being a "foster mom" for orphaned animals.

Karen

Veterinary Technician

Karen Originally a receptionist at Norton Animal Hospital since 2002, Karen is now a full-time veterinary tehnician. She is a graduate of Tauton High School and Bridgewater State College. Karen's compassion for animals makes her a wonderful asset to our team!

Married to Michael, the couple has two children, Chloe and Gabrielle. Karen enjoys spending her leisure time gardening and reading. Her beloved pets include, cats - Butternut and Mavie,and recently acquired new kitten "Badger"' and a German Shephard named Hanssen.

Jennifer

Veterinary Technician, CVT

JenniferAfter graduating from Norfolk County Agricultural High School, Jennifer attended Becker College in Worcester where she earned degrees in Veterinary Technology and Veterinary Science.

A certified veterinary technician at N.A.H. since the summer of 2006, Jennifer enjoys fostering kittens, playing softball, going to the beach and attending Red Sox games.
Jen's compassion for animals and caring attitude have made her a definite asset to our team!
Jennifer shares her home with a Cocker Spaniel named Daisy.

Liz

Veterinary Technician

LizA full-time veterinary technician at Norton Animal hospital since the beginning of 2005, Liz is originally from the area, having graduated from Tri-County Regional High School in Franklin. She has been working with animals since 2002. Her love and compassion for animals as well as attention to detail have made her a great asset to the team!

An avid fan of both dining and cooking, Liz doesn't just cook for her fellow humans, she also makes dog treats from scratch! Her pets include two kitties - Daisy Duke and Little Joe.

Sara

Veterinary Technician/Supervisor

SaraIn 2006, Sara joined the staff of Norton Animal Hospital her as a part-time veterinary technician, receptionist and front office supervisor, but her relationship with the hospital goes back long before then. Between April of 1998 and June 2003, she worked at N.A.H. while attending the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where she got her degree in Animal Science. She has also worked for the North Attleboro Zoo as a caretaker, and at animal hospitals and clinics in Georgia and Mississippi. We are glad we have Sara back as part of our team - she's a wonderful asset!

Married to Jeffrey, the couple has 2 sons named Thomas and Matthew. Also sharing their home is their dog Charlie, a Labrador mixed breed.

Sheryl

Client Relations/Receptionist

SherylSheryl has been with our team since 2006, bringing with her, experience in the human medical field. With her attention to detail, compassion for animals and people, she is an important part of our team - receptionists have one of the hardest jobs here!
She also has two pets she cares for at home: Tangie, a Yellow Labrador and Hope, a kitty. Weekly, she accompanies Tangie to agility training in Taunton.

Sheryl is married to Bill, an electrician. Her favorite leisure activity is spending time with him and their son and daughter, Billy and Brooke, who are twins. She also enjoys going to plays and musicals.

Alexzandra or "Ama"

Veterinary Technician

Ama started with the Norton Animal Hospital as an intern when she was a junior at Bristol County Agricultural High School. After her internship the hospital hired her for summer hours and part-time hours during her senior year. Now Ama is attending Becker College, majoring in pre-vet and is starting her junior year! She still fills in when she can on week ends and during school breaks. Her enthusiam for what she does is contagious for the rest of the staff. Our wish is that someday she returns full time as an associate veterinarian.

Tanya

Veterinary Technician

Tanya joined our team in August 2008. She is a native of North Attleboro and has over 11 years of experience in the animal field. We are lucky to have her knowledge and expertise as a part of our team!
Prior to her work in veterinary hospitals, Tanya received her Bachelor's Degree in Sports Education from Ohio State in 2002.
She shares her home with 2 American Bulldogs - Leila and Jade.
When she's not being a technician, Tanya also is a swim coach for local teams.

Caitlin

Client Relations/Receptionist

Caitlin started at NAH in early 2010, coming to us with a background in finance, having graduated from the University of New Hampshire, with a degree in Business Administration and Finance Management.
Her organizational skills, compassion for animals and upbeat personality have made her a welcome addition to our team.
During her time off, Cait enjoys horse-back riding, hiking and snowboarding. She shares her home with her 3 pets - a kitty named CJ, and 2 dogs, Cody and Shelby.
